MENSTRUAL HYGIENE

Breaking the menstruation taboo in India is an important step towards improving menstrual hygiene. Menstruation has long been a taboo topic in India, and rural women and girls have limited access to information and resources related to menstrual hygiene. As part of our welfare initiative, Xforia Foundation has committed to dispel the myths and phobia surrounding the topic through:

• Educating people about menstruation, conducting workshops and training sessions to educate girls and women about menstruation, menstrual hygiene, and the use of sanitary products.

• Empowering women and girls to manage their menstrual health is an important step in breaking the taboo. Women's groups and community health centers are providing support and resources to help women and girls manage their menstruation with dignity and without shame.

• In many cultures, menstruation has been considered a taboo topic and men may not have a full understanding of the physical and emotional challenges that women and girls face during their menstrual cycles. Empathy among men towards menstruation is a crucial step towards breaking the taboo surrounding menstruation and promoting gender equality.

• Normalizing menstruation as a natural process can help promote empathy among men. It can be helpful to educate men about the biological processes involved in menstruation and to emphasize that menstruation is a normal part of the reproductive cycle.

Our foundation endeavors to break the taboo are essential in creating a culture where menstruation is openly discussed, and women and girls have access to the information and resources they need to manage their menstrual health with dignity and without shame.
